नई दिल्ली: दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी मैसेंजर सेवा प्रदाता कंपनी वॉट्सऐप ने भारत में 15 मई से लागू होने वाली नई प्राइवेसी पॉलिसी को फिलहाल टाल दिया है. कंपनी ने प्राइवेसी पॉलिसी को लागू होने की नई तारीखों का ऐलान नहीं किया है. कंपनी ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि नई पॉलिसी को स्वीकार न करने वाला कोई भी अकाउंट डिलीट नहीं किया जाएगा.
यूजर्स को रिमाइंडर भेजना जारी रहेगा
इस बयान में वॉट्सऐप ने कहा है कि नई प्राइवेसी पॉलिसी को स्वीकार करने के लिए यूजर्स को रिमाइंडर भेजना जारी रहेगा. यह प्रक्रिया अगले कुछ सप्ताह तक जारी रहेगी. पहले यह नई प्राइवेसी पॉलिसी 8 फरवरी से लागू होनी थी. लेकिन विवाद बढ़ने के बाद इसे 15 मई के लिए टाल दिया था. समाचार एजेंसी पीटीआई ने इस बारे में खबर दी है.
वॉट्सऐप की नई पॉलिसी क्या है?
वॉट्सऐप यूजर जो कंटेंट अपलोड, सबमिट, स्टोर, सेंड या रिसीव करते हैं, कंपनी उसका इस्तेमाल कहीं भी कर सकती है. कंपनी उस डेटा को शेयर भी कर सकती है. कंपनी ने कहा था कि 15 मई तक इसे स्वीकार न करने वाले लोगों का अकाउंट डिलीट कर दिया जाएगा. हालांकि भा कंपनी ने यू टर्न मार लिया है.
