मालेरकोटला में दहला देने वाली घटना:पूर्व सैनिक के परिवार के 3 सदस्यों ने आर्थिक तंगी के चलते खाया जहर, मां-बेटी और नातिन की मौके पर मौत
मालेरकोटला जिले के गांव कुठाला में पूर्व सैनिक के परिवार के तीन सदस्यों ने आर्थिक तंगी के चलते सामूहिक रूप से जहर खा लिया। मृतकों में पूर्व सैनिक की पत्नी, बेटी व पत्नी की मां शामिल हैं। पुलिस ने बताया कि मृतकों के शवों को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है। आत्महत्या के पीछे का कारण आर्थिक तंगी हो सकती है। पूर्व सैनिक गुरप्रीत सिंह की बीमारी के चलते दो साल पहले मौत हो गई थी।
जानकारी के मुताबकि, गुरप्रीत की मौत के बाद उसकी पत्नी सुखविंदर कौर अपने तीनों बच्चों और अपनी मां हरमेल कौर (65) के साथ गांव कुठाला में ही रहती थी। शनिवार सुबह जब देर तक कोई घर से बाहर नहीं निकला। इसके बाद पड़ोसियों ने अंदर जाकर देखा तो तीनों महिलाओं के शव बेड पर पड़े थे। लोगों ने तुरंत इसकी सूचना पुलिस की दी। पुलिस ने मौके पर पहुंचकर शव कब्जे में लिए।
थाना संदौड़ के SHO यादविंदर सिंह ने बताया कि मामले की जांच जारी है। प्राथमिक जांच में आशंका जताई जा रही है कि परिवार ने आर्थिक तंगी से आहत होकर आत्महत्या की है।

Three members of an ex-soldier’s family in village Kuthala in Malerkotla district collectively consumed poison due to financial constraints. The dead include former soldier’s wife, daughter and wife’s mother. Police said the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem. The reason behind the suicide can be financial constraints. Former soldier Gurpreet Singh died two years ago due to illness.
According to the information, after the death of Gurpreet, his wife Sukhwinder Kaur lived in village Kuthala with his three children and his mother Harmail Kaur (65). No one got out of the house until late on Saturday morning. After this the neighbors went inside and saw that the bodies of the three women were lying on the bed. People immediately informed the police about this. Police reached the spot and took the dead body.
