While releasing the resolution letter on Friday, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that BJP does not have to make promises by making huge promises about development, because BJP’s performance itself testifies itself. The BJP had to face criticism of the Opposition for delay in issuing the election manifesto.

BJP leader Arun Jaitley, in terms of economic development, Gujarat is at the forefront of the country. He said that Gujarat is the only state which is progressing with the double digit growth rate from the last five financial years.

Union minister Arun Jaitley on the question of issuing the declaration after the election campaign was stopped for the first phase, said that the party did not violate the Model Code of Conduct because there is no mention of any candidate or his constituency in the resolution letter.

According to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, BJP has taken note of the socio-economic development of Gujarat in its resolution letter. At the same time, while criticizing the Congress election manifesto, he said that the government had already completed most of the promises made in it.

Arun Jaitley further said that the promise of Congress will not be possible on the grounds of constitutional and financial plunge. Arun Jaitley described the Congress’s promise of reservation to the Patidar community as the politics of ethnic polarization.
