CM inquiry into bridge construction in Bhopal Pani!

Taking serious cognizance of the reports of cracks in the walls and cave in on the road to a bridge in Bhopal Pani area, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has instructed Chief Engineer, PWD to immediately inquire into the matter.       
On the complaint of  local people, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat himself  inspected the under construction bridges at Saunda-sarola and Bhopal Pani on Raipur-Thano road in Dehradun on Tuesday. Cave in on the road of the bridge at Bhopal Pani and cracks in the walls were found. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat severely scolded the present PWD engineers and representatives of the working agencies and instructed the Chief engineer, PWD to immediately inquire into the matter. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat asked the engineer whether there was any pressure on them to complete the work speedily. The officers, contractors and employees involved in such incident cannot escape action.  He said that any kind of laxity and compromise on quality in construction works will not be tolerated.
 Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat also inspected the Saunda-Sarola bridge on Raipur-Thano road and sought details about the construction activity.   The Chief Minister instructed the present officers to complete the Saunda-Sarola bridge on time and maintain the quality of the construction work. It was informed that the bridge will be ready by September 30.
R.C. Purohit, Engineer Chief ( HOD), Hari Om Sharma, Chief engineer, PWD (NH) and Rajesh Sharma, Superintendent Engineer were present during the inspection .
