CM inaugurate state Cooperative bank building at Haldwani
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the newly constructed building of State Cooperative Bank built at a cost of Rs. 4.55 crore at Haldwani on Thursday. He also launched the ‘Mukhyamantri E-rickshaw JanKalyan ’ scheme sponsored by the bank on the occasion. He handed over E-rickshaws to 24 beneficiaries including four women on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the cooperative bank by starting E-rickshaw scheme, has done a commendable work as it would give self-employment of poor and particularly to women. He said that by providing employment to women, the bank has helped in women empowerment. Uttarakhand Cooperative Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the scheme would prove useful in economic empowerment of women as women with E-rickshaw would be able to economically sustain their families.
Uttarakhand Social Development Minister Yashpal Arya, MLA Banshi Dhar Bhagat, Managing Director of Cooperative Bank Deepak Kumar, BJP state President Ajay Bhatt, Haldwani mayor Jogender Pal Singh Rautela, District Magistrate Depeendra Kumar Chaudhary and Additional District Magistrate Harveer Singh were present at the function .
