*जखोली, रुद्रप्रयाग में प्रस्तावित सैनिक स्कूल के  अवस्थापना सुविधाओं के लिए केन्द्र से मिले वित्तीय सहायता*

मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बुधवार को नई दिल्ली में केन्द्रीय रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह जी से शिष्टाचार भेंट की। मुख्यमंत्री ने केंद्रीय मंत्री से सामरिक महत्व को देखते हुए टनकपुर-बागेश्वर रेल लाईन ब्राडगेज (बीजी) की स्वीकृति के लिये रक्षा मंत्रालय के स्तर से भी संस्तुति करने का अनुरोध किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने जखोली, रुद्रप्रयाग में स्वीकृत सैनिक स्कूल की अवस्थापना सुविधाओं के लिए एमओयू में संशोधन करते हुए केन्द्रीय सहायता का भी अनुरोध किया।

*सामरिक महत्व के दृष्टिगत टनकपुर-बागेश्वर ब्राडगेज लाईन जरूरी*

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य के क्षेत्रीय सामाजिक सांस्कृतिक तथा पर्यटन के विकास और सामरिक दृष्टिकोण से  रेल मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा टनकपुर और बागेश्वर के बीच नैरोगेज रेलवे लाईन हेतु सर्वे का आदेश निर्गत किया गया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि नैरोगेज रेलवे लाईन से न तो सामरिक महत्व के मसले हल होंगे और न ही यहां की यातायात व अन्य मूलभूत आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति होगी। यह लाईन ब्राडगेज में होनी चाहिये। चीन और नेपाल की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सीमा के निकट स्थित होने के कारण यह रेल लाईन सामरिक रूप से बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। साथ ही यह नये व्यापार केन्द्रों को भी जोड़ेगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री से उनके स्तर से भी टनकपुर-बागेश्वर ब्राडगेज लाईन की स्वीकृति के लिये संस्तुति किये जाने का अनुरोध किया।

*जखोली, रुद्रप्रयाग में स्वीकृत सैनिक स्कूल की अवस्थापना सुविधाओं के लिए केन्द्रीय सहायता का अनुरोध*

मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह को अवगत कराया कि उत्तराखण्ड राज्य में एक अतिरिक्त सैनिक स्कूल जखोली, जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग में खोले जाने की स्वीकृति प्रदान की गयी थी। इसके लिए रक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार तथा उत्तराखण्ड राज्य के मध्य एमओयू किया गया था।  सैनिक स्कूल की स्थापना हेतु उत्तराखण्ड राज्य द्वारा अवस्थापना संबंधी सुविधायें उपलब्ध करायी जानी थी। मुख्यमंत्री ने राज्य के सीमित वित्तीय संसाधनों को देखते हुए एमओयू में संशोधन करते हुए अवस्थापना विकास हेतु वित्तीय सहायता भारत सरकार द्वारा प्रदान किये जाने का आग्रह किया।

The Chief Minister also requested the Union Minister to recommend the Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail line broad gauge (BG) at the level of the Defense Ministry in view of its strategic importance. The Chief Minister also requested for central assistance while amending the MoU for the infrastructure facilities of the approved Sainik School at Jakholi, Rudraprayag. * Tanakpur-Bageshwar broad gauge line is necessary in view of strategic importance. The Chief Minister said that for the development of regional socio-cultural and tourism and from a strategic point of view, the Ministry of Railways, Government of India has issued survey order for narrow gauge railway line between Tanakpur and Bageshwar. The Chief Minister said that neither the issues of strategic importance would be solved by the narrow gauge railway line, nor the traffic and other basic needs would be met here. This line should be in broad gauge. This railway line is strategically very important due to its location near the international border of China and Nepal. Along with this, it will also connect new business centers. The Chief Minister requested the Union Defense Minister to recommend from his level also for the approval of Tanakpur-Bageshwar broad gauge line. *Request for central assistance for the infrastructure facilities of Sainik School approved at Jakholi, Rudraprayag*
