 Harivantapuram: Search and rescue operations are on in the southeast Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands.

Minister Nirmala Sitanam visited the affected areas in Thiruvananthapuram. He will visit Kanyakumari tomorrow and other parts of Tamil Nadu.

The Navy has deployed 10 Naval ships and 8 planes, which were provided service late night last night for the rescue operation.

A total of 357 people have been rescued by Indian Coast Guard, Navy and Air Force in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands.

n the next 48 hours, the coastal coast of Maharashtra is likely to be underground by cyclone. 20 people were rescued from the cyclone but hundreds are still missing.
