Social media plays an important role in society: CM Rawat!
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that social media has an important role in society. It is a dynamic medium in the field of communication in the current scenario. We have to use it in public interest and in the wider interest of the society. This can be an important medium of effective implementation of schemes related to public interest being run by the central and state government. We have to make efforts in this direction.
Addressing the concluding session of the social media dialogue programme organized in meeting hall at CM residence on Tuesday, Chief Minister said that we have to understand the importance of social media. There should be a positive follow up of the news, events. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has talked about running a campaign against corruption, drug addiction and synthetic drugs. It can also be a medium to save society from its adverse effects. Similarly, the positive initiative taken by the government in the wider interest of the society can be brought to the public through it. There are currently 5 female governors in the country. There are 03 female judges in the Supreme Court. Tasks like equal opportunities to women in the army, housing for all, Ujjwala, Saubhagaya, All Weather Road, Karnprayag rail line can be incorporated into it in the wider interests of the society.
Uttarakhand Atal Ayushman Yojana, in which 5.37 lakh people will get healthcare, Uttarakhand becoming the first state in ODF, award received in PMGSY, Most Film Friendly Award, Award in Food, Tourism Global Award and arrangement of NCERT books at concessional rates can be linked to it. We have to learn the art of presenting the news through it.
Chief Minister said that better use of Prirul and Lisa and Prasad Yojana can be a milestone towards women empowerment. Pirul and Lisa will form the basis of future, apart from 143 items; electricity can be produced from turpentine, tar coal, diesel and biomass, which will be a strong part of our economy. We have done the task of adopting 20,000 malnourished children and mothers and supplying nutritional diet to them. Guardians have deployed for this. If such programmes become part of social media, then with the increase of public awareness, the standard of living of the common man will be improved further.
Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Mr. Ramesh Bhatt presented comprehensive information about the initiatives made through social media through a presentation on this occasion. He held detailed discussions on the welfare measures taken in the direction of overall development of the state. Mr. Bhatt said that the importance of social media is well-known. He also highlighted the importance of its various tools.
