A Parliamentary Committee on Finance related to the role of RBI on bank scandal has asked RBI governor Urjit Patel to appear in front of the committee and issue notice to the committee.
A parliamentary panel has asked Reserve Bank Governor Urjit Patel to appear before it on 17th May. It is learned that in order to answer the continuous bank scandals, there is a presence in front of the governor’s committee. The Standing Committee of Parliament on Finance Affairs, headed by senior Congress leader M. Veerappa Moily, on Tuesday asked financial services secretary Rajiv Kumar several questions on the banking sector. At the time of the note closure, the RBI governor has appeared before the parliamentary committee.
