मैक्सिमिलियन 1493 में प्रथम ऑस्ट्रिया का राजकुमार बना।
फ्रांसीसी राजा हेनरी चतुर्थ ने 1591 में उत्तरी फ्रांस के शहर रोएन पर कब्जा किया।
मुगल बादशाह अकबर ने 1600 में अहमदनगर पर विजय हासिल की।
स्जालंकमेन के युद्ध में 1691 को ऑस्ट्रिया ने तुर्कों को पराजित किया।
छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज 1666 को आगरा से फलों की टोकरी में छिपकर औरंगजेब की कैद से फरार।
ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी द्वारा पहला एक रुपये का सिक्का 1757 में ढाला गया।
स्पेन और फ्रांस ने 1796 में ब्रिटेन गठबंधन के खिलाफ हस्ताक्षर किये।

ईराक के बगदाद में 2009 को सिलसिलेवार बम विस्फोट में 101 लोगों की मौत और 565 घायल।
अमेरिकी सेना की 2010 में अंतिम ब्रिगेड के कुवैत जाने के साथ आॅपरेशन इराकी फ्रीडम खत्म हुआ।
बिहार के धमरा घाट में 2013 को ट्रेन दुर्घटना में कम से कम 37 लोग मारे गए।

भारत के क्रांतिकारी नेता एस. सत्यमूर्ति का जन्म 1887 को हुआ था।
भारत के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार, कवि, लेखक, व्यंग्यकार और पत्रकार हरिशंकर शर्मा का जन्म 1891 को हुआ था।
निबन्धकार, उपन्यासकार, आलोचक, चिन्तक तथा शोधकर्ता हज़ारी प्रसाद द्विवेदी का जन्म 1907 को हुआ था।
पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय गायक अब्दुल राशिद ख़ान का जन्म 1908 में हुआ।
भारत के प्रसिद्ध कवि, कथाकार और एकांकीकार आरसी प्रसाद सिंह का जन्म 1911 को हुआ था।
भारत के नवें राष्ट्रपति शंकरदयाल शर्मा का जन्म 1918 को हुआ था।
हिन्दी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार शिवप्रसाद सिंह का जन्म 1928 को हुआ था।
अमेरिका के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति बिल क्लिंटन का जन्म 1946 को हुआ था।
इन्फोसिस फाउंडेशन के संस्थापक एन. आर. नारायणमूर्ति की पत्नी एवं प्रसिद्ध सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता सुधा मूर्ति का जन्म 1950 को हुआ था।

फ़्रांस के गणितज्ञ, लेखक और कैल्कयुलेटर मशीन के आविष्कारक ब्लेज़ पास्कल का निधन 1662 में हुआ।
प्रसिद्ध वकील, न्यायाधीश और नेता बदरुद्दीन तैयब का निधन 1909 को हुआ था।
शीर्षस्थ भाषा विज्ञानी, व्याकरण के विद्वान, अनुवादक और हिन्दी साहित्य के प्रसिद्ध इतिहासकार रोनाल्ड स्टुअर्ट मेक्ग्रेगॉर का निधन 2013 को हुआ था।
हिन्दी तथा बांग्ला फ़िल्मों के प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता और निर्माता उत्पल दत्त का निधन 1993 को हुआ था।

Renowned lawyer, judge and politician Badruddin Tyab died in 1909. Ronald Stuart McGregor, a top linguist, grammar scholar, translator and renowned historian of Hindi literature, passed away in 2013.
