CM Rawat calls for ‘One Country, One Election’

 Calling for ‘One Country, One Election’, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that simultaneous elections of gram pardhans, Chhetra panchayat representatives, Block Pramukh, legislators and MPs will save money, energy and time. Expressing his happiness at large representation of females amongst the office-bearers of the students unions, Chief Minister said that women should come forward in every field.  He further said that women have to come strongly against injustice, exploitation, violence and social injustice.   
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in a one day conference of elected representatives of students unions of colleges and universities at Chief Ministers’ on Saturday.
Congratulating the newly elected office-bearers of the students unions, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that by holding student union elections in the entire state in a single day, Uttarakhand has set up an example in the country. “ This is an example to be emulated. Now we have to seriously deliberate on “One Country, One Election’ in the country,” he said.
