Kolkata: The Kolkata Police on Wednesday approved the proposed rally of BJP President Amit Shah on August 11. BJP Yuva Morcha had alleged that he did not get any information from the Kolkata Police regarding Shah’s rally, after which the police approved the rally only a few hours later.

The ruling Trinamool Congress, tearing down on BJP and Shah, claimed that they had become restless and wished “a pleasant journey for them on the land of peace and harmony.

Kolkata Police tweeted, “We came to know about the speculation on the social media that a political party did not allow permission on 11th August. It is clarified that the rally has been allowed on the request.
