शिअद अध्यक्ष सुखबीर सिंह बादल ने मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह से इस मामले को केंद्र सरकार के साथ सख्ती से आगे बढ़ाने और यह सुनिश्चित करने का अनुरोध किया.

शिरोमणि अकाली दल (शिअद) के अध्यक्ष सुखबीर सिंह बादल ने पंजाब के राज्यपाल को इस प्रभार से हटाकर केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के लिए एक पूर्ण प्रशासक नियुक्त करने के प्रस्ताव को राजधानी शहर पर पंजाब के दावे को कमजोर करने का एक और प्रयास बताया. उन्होंने कहा कि हम इसका पुरजोर विरोध करेंगे. बादल ने कहा कि चंडीगढ़ पंजाब का एक अविभाज्य हिस्सा है और इसे जल्द से जल्द मूल राज्य में स्थानांतरित किया जाना चाहिए.

पूर्ण प्रशासक नियुक्त करने का कोई औचित्य नहीं
शिअद अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के लिए राज्य के बाहर से एक पूर्ण प्रशासक नियुक्त करने का कोई औचित्य नहीं है. केंद्र शासित प्रदेश को जब तक पंजाब में स्थानांतरित नहीं किया जाता है, तब तक यहां अधिकारी मूल राज्य से होना चाहिए. पहले भी चंडीगढ़ के चीफ कमिश्नर पंजाब से ही हुआ करते थे. पंजाब के पुनर्गठन के समय लिए गए सभी फैसलों का एक के बाद एक उल्लंघन किया जा रहा है. सुखबीर बादल ने कहा कि केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में अधिकारियों की पोस्टिंग के लिए 60:40 के अनुपात का पालन नहीं किया जा रहा है.

पंजाब की भूमिका कम करना चाहती है सरकार
उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में पंजाब सेवा के अधिकारियों की ताकत को कम करने के लिए अलग कैडर बनाए गए हैं और अब एजीएमयूटी के अधिकारियों को भी 60:40 फॉर्मूले का उल्लंघन करते हुए प्रमुख पदों पर तैनात किया जा रहा है. बादल ने कहा कि पंजाब के साथ चंडीगढ़ की तुलना में की जा रही गलतियों को सुधारने के बजाय यह निंदनीय है कि केंद्र सरकार अब चंडीगढ़ में पंजाब की भूमिका को और भी कम करने की योजना बना रही है. उन्होंने कहा कि यह दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि एनडीए सरकार पंजाब विरोधी कदम को लागू करने का प्रस्ताव देकर कांग्रेस सरकार के रास्ते पर चल रही है जो संविधान की भावना के भी खिलाफ है. बादल ने कहा कि शिअद ने इससे पहले 2016 में पंजाब के राज्यपाल को इस प्रभार से हटाकर चंडीगढ़ के लिए एक अलग प्रशासक नियुक्त करने के कदम का भी विरोध किया था. हम यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए एक आंदोलन शुरू करेंगे कि यह कदम फिर से फलीभूत न हो.

Badal said that instead of rectifying the mistakes being made in comparing Chandigarh with Punjab, it is condemnable that the central government is now planning to further reduce the role of Punjab in Chandigarh. He said that it is unfortunate that the NDA government is following the path of the Congress government by proposing to implement the anti-Punjab move, which is also against the spirit of the Constitution. Badal said the SAD had earlier opposed the move in 2016 to appoint a separate administrator for Chandigarh by removing the Punjab governor from the charge. We will launch a movement to ensure that this move does not come to fruition again.
