कैबिनेट मंत्री एवं मसूरी विधायक गणेश जोशी ने आज राष्ट्रीय दृष्टि दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण संस्थान में रामानी फाउंडेशन द्वारा आयोजित हरेला पर्व वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग कर संस्थान परिसर में वृक्षारोपण किया और नागरिकों को पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश दिया।
कैबिनेट मंत्री ने गुरु पूर्णिमा के अवसर पर कार्यक्रम में उपस्थिति गुरुजनों को प्रणाम किया l अपने राजनीतिक गुरू को याद करते हुए कैबिनेट मंत्री भावुक हो गए और साथ ही उन्होंने अपने गुरुओं का धन्यवाद दिया जिनके कारण आज वह जनता की सेवा कर पा रहे हैं।
कार्यक्रम में मौजूद लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी सरकार ने 2 करोड़ पौधे लगाने का लक्ष्य रखा है, जिसके तहत हम लगातार वृक्षारोपण कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे उत्तराखंड की बासमती और लीची विश्व प्रसिद्ध है लेकिन अंधाधुंध कटान के कारण लगातार इनकी संख्या में कमी आ रही है। पेड़ कटने के कारण पर्यावरण दूषित हो रहा है तथा बाड़, भूस्खलन, बदल फटने जैसी प्राकृतिक आपदाएं आ रही है और ऐसे में जरूरी हो जाता है कि हम ज्यादा से ज्यादा वृक्षारोपण करें और पर्यावरण को संरक्षित करें। उन्होंने कहा कि कहा जाता है एक पेड़ लगाना 10 पुत्रो को जन्म देने के समान होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि वृक्षों से हमें जीवन दायक ऑक्सीजन मिलती है और इसको देखते हुए प्रदेश सरकार विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में ऑक्सीजन पार्क बना रही है l

इस अवसर पर कार्यक्रम में सोसायटी अध्यक्ष वंदना श्रीवास्तव, एनआईवीएच निर्देशक इंद्रजीत जग्गी, अनुसंधान अध्यक्ष मनीष वर्मा, मंडल अध्यक्ष पूनम नौटियाल, मंडल महामंत्री सुरेंद्र राणा, पार्षद संजय नौटियाल, योगेश अग्रवाल, चुन्नीलाल आदि उपस्थित रहे l

Cabinet Minister and Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi today participated in the Harela Parv tree plantation program organized by Ramani Foundation at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and planted trees in the institute premises and gave the message of environmental protection to the citizens.
The cabinet minister saluted the gurus present in the program on the occasion of Guru Purnima. Remembering his political guru, the cabinet minister became emotional and also thanked his gurus, due to which he is able to serve the public today.
Addressing the people present in the program, he said that our government has set a target of planting 2 crore saplings, under which we are continuously planting trees. He said that our Uttarakhand’s Basmati and Litchi are world famous, but due to indiscriminate harvesting, their numbers are continuously decreasing. Due to cutting of trees, the environment is getting polluted and natural calamities like fencing, landslides, storms are coming and in such a situation it becomes necessary that we should plant more and more trees and protect the environment. He said that it is said that planting one tree is like giving birth to 10 sons. He said that we get life-giving oxygen from trees and in view of this, the state government is making oxygen parks in different areas.

Society President Vandana Srivastava, NIVH Director Inderjit Jaggi, Research President Manish Verma, Circle President Poonam Nautiyal, Divisional General Secretary Surendra Rana, Councilor Sanjay Nautiyal, Yogesh Agarwal, Chunilal etc. were present in the program on this occasion.
