मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने हरिद्वार रोड, देहरादून स्थित एक स्थानीय वेडिंग प्वाइंट में हरेला पर्व पर आयोजित वृक्षदान कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने विधायकगणों एवं अन्य गणमान्यों को वृक्षारोपण हेतु वृक्ष दिये और लोगों को अधिक से अधिक वृक्षारोपण के लिए प्रेरित करने को कहा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि 16 जुलाई को उत्तराखण्ड में हरेला पर्व मनाया जाता है। प्रकृति के संरक्षण के उद्देश्य से उत्तराखण्ड में हरेला पर्व मनाया जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रकृति के संरक्षण के लिए हरेला पर्व के अवसर पर सभी को वृक्षारोपण करने का संकल्प लेना होगा। जुलाई एवं अगस्त माह का समय वृक्षारोपण के लिए सबसे उपयुक्त है। हमें अपनी परम्पराओं एवं परिवेश को बढ़ावा देना होगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आज विज्ञान तेजी से प्रगति कर रहा है, वैज्ञानिक प्रगति के साथ ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दिशा में हमें और तेजी से आगे बढ़ना होगा। नमामि गंगे के तहत इस दिशा में सराहनीय प्रयास हुए हैं।
पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री श्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने कहा कि पर्यावरणीय सन्तुलन बहुत जरूरी है। व्यापक स्तर पर वृक्षारोपण कर सबको अपने दायित्वों का निर्वहन करना होगा। पीपल एवं बरगद के अधिक वृक्षारोपण पर हमें ध्यान देना होगा।
इस अवसर पर विधायक श्री विनोद चमोली, श्री मुन्ना सिंह चौहान, श्री सहदेव सिंह पुण्डीर, श्री खजानदास, मेयर श्री सुनील उनियाल गामा, देहरादून की जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष श्रीमती मधु चौहान, भाजपा के महानगर अध्यक्ष श्री सीताराम भट्ट उपस्थित थे।

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a tree donation program organized on the Harela festival at a local wedding point on Haridwar Road, Dehradun. On this occasion, he gave trees to the MLAs and other dignitaries for tree plantation and asked people to motivate them to plant more and more trees.
The Chief Minister said that Harela festival is celebrated in Uttarakhand on 16th July. Harela festival is celebrated in Uttarakhand for the purpose of conservation of nature. He said that everyone will have to take a pledge to plant trees on the occasion of Harela festival for the protection of nature. The time of July and August is the best time for plantation. We have to promote our traditions and environment. The Chief Minister said that today science is progressing rapidly, along with scientific progress, we have to move faster in the direction of environmental protection. Commendable efforts have been made in this direction under Namami Gange.
Former Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat said that environmental balance is very important. Everyone will have to discharge their responsibilities by planting trees on a large scale. We have to pay attention to more plantation of Peepal and Banyan.
MLAs Shri Vinod Chamoli, Shri Munna Singh Chouhan, Shri Sahdev Singh Pundir, Shri Khajandas, Mayor Shri Sunil Uniyal Gama, District Panchayat President of Dehradun Smt. Madhu Chauhan, BJP Metropolitan President Shri Sitaram Bhatt were present on this occasion.
