वन एवं पर्यावरण मंत्री डा. हरक सिंह रावत जी ने प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड की ओर से कोरोना से जंग लड़ने के लिए 25 करोड़ की धनराशि का योगदान मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष में दिया है। इस धनराशि का चेक उन्होंने आज मुख्यमंत्री तीरथ सिंह रावत को सचिवालय स्थित कार्यालय में भेंट किया। मुख्यमंत्री जी ने इस सहयोग के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया। इस अवसर पर प्रमुख सचिव वन श्री आनंद वर्धन, सदस्य सचिव प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड श्री एसपी सुबुद्धि भी उपस्थित थे।
इसके बाद मीडिया सेन्टर में आयोजित पत्रकार वार्ता में वन एवं पर्यावरण मंत्री डा. हरक सिंह रावत ने प्रदेश के सभी व्यक्तियों, संस्थाओं व संगठनों से आग्रह किया है कि वैश्विक महामारी की वजह से पैदा हुए इस संकट में अपना यथासंभव आर्थिक योगदान मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष में दें ताकि सरकार इससे पर्याप्त संसाधन जुटाकर मजबूती के साथ कोरोना से लड़ाई लड़ सके। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले साल भी प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड ने 50 करोड़ की राशि कोरोना काल में मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष में प्रदान की थी।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड हर साल पर्यावरण शुल्क लेता है। इससे हुई आमदनी से बोर्ड हमेशा सामुदायिक जिम्मेदारियों को भी बखूबी निर्वहन करता है। बोर्ड का कार्मिकों के वेतन आदि समेत का खर्च 20 करोड़ रुपया है। इस व्यय के बाद शेष बची राशि का उपयोग जनहित में भी किया जाता है। इसी मद से आज मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष में बोर्ड से 25 करोड़ की राशि का सहयोग प्रदान किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार के पास सीमित संसाधन हैं और कोरोना के खिलाफ लड़ाई लम्बी चल सकती है। वैज्ञानिकों का अनुमान है कि दूसरी लहर के बाद कोरोना की तीसरी लहर भी आ सकती है। ऐसे में सरकार को दूसरी लहर से निपटने के साथ ही तीसरी लहर के लिए भी तैयार रहना है। एकजुट होकर और सामूहिक सहभागिता से ही यह लड़ाई जीती जा सकती है।

He said that the state government has limited resources and the fight against Corona can go on for a long time. Scientists predict that the second wave may be followed by a third wave of corona. In such a situation, the government has to deal with the second wave and also be ready for the third wave. This battle can be won only by united and collective participation.
